well ive thought about it more, and i have an aftermarket 3rd brake light that i rem not seeming to seal really well when i put it on so i will start there.
But what gets me is if it was the brake light, wouldnt both sides(bottom of the b pillar inside) of the carpet be wet not just one?

Could be that the water leaks in, hits the wire harness, then the water runs down the harness until it gets to the floor. Maybe?

I hate water leaks and air leaks. Major PITA to figure out & fix.

well finally got a look at the 3rd brake light earlier, the seal was all cracked and looked like a good place for a leak so i got some silicone and sealed it up. hoping that was it..

Yeah, I hope that you got it man...water leaks suck for sure. As Roger mentioned, the water could go either way, depending on what gives it a channel to take a ride. Not to mention, if your truck has the Chevy lean, then everything seems to favor the left
