Default Need Gears

My truck is a chevy 04, 5.3, I have the stock gears which are 3.42's, either looking to buy some 3.73's or 3.90's which ones do you all recomend, i do alot of traveling on the highway, so im leaning towards 3.73's and for the track put a smaller tire, also what brand of gears to you all recommend i dont want something noisy, i've heard good comments about richmond and superior. Thanks in advance

i have the 3.73 but if i would have thought about it more i would have gotten the 3.90 because with the 22" rims it is about the same as haveing 3.73. , but i am really happy with the 3.73 and it is really nice to put smaller tires on there and really wake it up.

you wont notice much of a differnce only going from 3.42 to 3.73.....

i did a buddys truck last weekend he went from 3.42s to 4.10s & it only raised his rpms about 300 rpm at 70 mph.....

no gears should make noise if they are installed properly..... I've installed richmonds & motive gears as well as GM gears

lol hi sam hows the nitrous i wired working out? :p

yeah i raised my rpm's about 300 it sits right at 2500 holding 80 mph in 4th converter locked

it's really nice all around mod gives you gobbs of low end throttle power

going around town it's noticably alot easier on the motor it hardly bogs/strains i'm slightly an agressive driver and it seems like the perfect mod to me it made my exhaust or alck of exhaust quieter casue theres almost no load on the motor round town, still has plenty of top end and get up to 100 really easilly, i'll let you know how much faster it goes at the track after next w/e
