N2O vs Meth

Default N2O vs Meth

not shure this is where i should post this, move as necessary. what are the pros and cons of both, is on better than the other. can you run both. keep in mind that i have a 5.3 V8 that will be blown one day(turbo, blower, dont know yet)

Up front; I don't know much.

I went with meth because I have a supercharger (Radix) and wanted the meth for extra hp and to cool the intake air so I could run a smaller pulley, and get more boost, and yet not run into detonaton problems. The meth seemed to solve problems whereas the nitrous seemed to me to be a source of problems.

could i run meth now before im blown or will it even make a difference. will it give me the same gains as n2o or is it totaly different

Methanol will not help you if the motor is n/a. It adds octane and cools intake temps which are both beneficial to a FI motor.

so the whole point of meth is to cool down the air the was hot from a turbo or blower, so i can run both n2o and meth and it safe to a point.

You're completely confused as to the differences of each. Do some research on N20 and Meth. Meth is Methanol which is a higher octane and acts as a cooling agent. N20 is very cold, -127 F boiling point, but it also includes oxygen, hence "2O". 2 oxygen atoms. More Oxygen, more fuel= More power. You can get some hp by using Meth just by itself, but the gains are minimal. If you used N20 and Meth in conjuction, you'd get some strange looks..
