my truck vs. stock harley edition

Default my truck vs. stock harley edition

the harley got me both races. i had him both times off the line, but once he got goin,, he crept up enough so that my front tires were beside his rear tires.... 2 hi was closest,,, in 4hi, i got the jump but my truck wont release from 4hi and he quickly caught up. anyhow, im bummed out

That sux dood ... I ran one the other day in longview. ME and the girlfriend were cruising around. I barely pulled on him, but my truck was running like ****.

Are you sure he was stock?

BTW .. did you see my other post about going to the track next Fri? That would be easter weekend.

yeah,, its an old ladies truck,, my cousin got to drive it this weekend for his anniversary,,,, bone stock. ill see what i can do for next friday,, but i think ill only run a 14.7 or so.. so im not all that happy with my truck at the moment

just that i feel like a 1 second drop from a supercharger install and electric fans, and shortie headers, and ls1 edit just aint doing its stuff

How much boost are you running ?

I droppe about a second and a half from the blower and cam. I consistantly ran 13's, but onl;y pulled off a mid 12 with a good cool down time.

Carry a bag of ice or 2 with you to the track to lay on top of the blower while it's just sitting.

i did the icy thingy,, thats how i got that 14.4 run,,,, im running 6psi of boost perhaps my 32 inch tires are suckin down too much power?

I would bet so .. I'm running 27" tires at the track which would be about like putting 3.90's in with 30" tires.

The tires are slowin' ya down a bunch, full length headers would help too.

Are you running oversized injectors now and w/o that Whipple Computer?

not yet,,, im still workin out the kinks on my ls1 intake install. i would love some longtube headers! wish someone would trade me for some 4 wheeler tires or some step bars
