A shop floor press is WAAAAAY easier than my vise/press tool; it's like a extra pr. of hands. I'd hate to see your stock or aftermkt A-arms get marred. Most vises throat depth is only ~6". So since I couldn't put a 2x4"s in to protect, it had tiny vise marks on my arms. A shop press wouldn't have to contend w/. that issue, I think. So in short, I don't want to see your arms get damaged or have powdercoat marred. Good luck.

I did a quick search. I found some (Mevotech) for $110 for uppers. No mention of lowers. Called em a direct OE upgrade. From what I understand, they fit all platforms. IDK if it fits SS specifically, but would think "all platforms " covers it.
It would take some more research to locate other brands. And verify SS fitment. I know they're aftermkt 4wd arms & lifted 2wd stuff for 2wd. FabTec or is it FabTech I think. But I hear ya, not everyone can throw on AirRide setups just to get their A-arms.

yeah the 03 SS has torsion bars and not front springs, so that might play into "if it will fit" questions for sure.
