As you all know this package is only offerd in the new GMC Denali except the denali only comes with 3:42 and 3:73 gear ratios. Enyway thats my dream truck package what do you think?

There is actually a rumor going around that GM is going to replace the l76 with the l92 in just the trucks. With the 5.7 tundra being better than the l76 and Fords and Dodges new motors comming out, they wanted to step up. It was part of an article pickuptruck.com had. I'll see if i can find it

Where in the holy hell did you get this info??? have you read what heppened to those motors when they first came out??? and how about the very simple power and dependability you can get from any Chevy LS Series smallblock.... that portion of your post is WAY off the mark...

I don't consider the 5.7l Tundra motor better than the 5.3 or 6.0, just because of the aftermarket.

Aftermarket aside, the motor is a monster. I know the aftermarket exists, but do you think that just because the aftermarket is better that GM should leave it alone. In stock form, the power of the Iforce 5.7 is amazing. It pulls down low like my old 454 did, yet it doesn't die out at all on top. The L76 pulls great up top, but down low its got nothing on the Iforce. Its just my opinion, but go and test drive one before you cast your opinions in concrete. It took a drive for me to believe it. Think power under the curve

Thanks for the replys and photos of that sweet ls7 truck and s 10. I think building up a truck is a great idea the 5.3 and 6.0 have plenty of power to offer with some mods. I have a 05 5.3L with a Aem intake and run E85 ethinal that makes 105 octain and let me tell you that thing moves I would dare to try to make a kill on a Yota with that package alone even with the 3:42 gears. Next step is a nelson tune for E 85 if possible as long as I can swich back to gas when ever needed when running the tune.

drove one, no comparison... The truck feel "cheap" compared to a Chevrolet of the same trim level, a tune alone can have a 5.3 right there with that cam snapping 5.7... top and bottom end power... talk till your blue in the face, I'll keep my bowtie...
