i know the guys got stage 2 mopar, but not sure what it consist of. i got i/h/e/hpp3/4.10s/posi/servo/tbs/freemods. what r my chances? would i get murdered so bad its not worth it?

i would say murder!! i went to the track last weekend with my buddy that has one that is stock. it ran a 14.4 on stock tires. there was ones tht had stage 2 and slicks, a stiffer motor mount, running high 12 low 13's. if you think your down in those times i woulnd even try.

Ya, I dont think youd have much of a chance. On the street you never really know though. Give it a shot. Dont race for money though. In your sitation I wouldnt think about it without a stall and a cam at the least, probably some nitrous as well.

They had a Neon meet out at the track during the summer.........I was running 14.4's at the time and got my *** handed to me every time.

I got a real good holeshot on one run and thougt I had him beat.............but he went wizzin' by me at the light. Guy was real cool and came over and asked me what I ran..........told him and then he said he had to spray on me "cause he isn't letting no truck beat him"

 

I'll take my high 14-15sec 6000lb+ beast over any 13-14sec Neon any day. IMO it is much more impressive to see our huge *** trucks running 12's, 13's, 14's whatever. I can then turnaround and hook up my 8,000 lb trailer and go camping, tow the boat to the lake, or haul a cord of wood, lets see a neon do that. Our trucks are fast and usefull too.................. I think it's funny as hell that a big *** truck can not only run with many "performance" cars we even beat some too. I love the look on a Mustang drivers face when he is looking over at me and not pulling away I may not be beating him but he aint pulling me either, and he's got that WTF? look on his face. It's too freakin' cool..........
