Default My buddy got his Ford 4.6L dynoed today. Suprised me.

My buds went to the dyno today, and of course, I had to work and the pulley ****. ANYWAY, my bud strapped on his new Ford scsb 4x4 with the 4.6L. Mods are Superchips programmer,Airaid intake, and shorty headers with true dual mufflers(don't know brand). Third gear pull on a Mustang dyno. He dynoed 230hp and 260tq. I don't remember the exact details on the rpm, etc.
I thought this was pretty good for the little Ford truck engine with bolt ons.

My other buddy put his Powerstroke on the dyno. It has some sort of tuner, exhaust, and aftermarket filter. It dynoed 428hp and don't know the torque, but it was up there.

I can't wait to strap mine on and get some numbers. Is the mustang dyno a pretty reliable source? I don't know anything about dynos.

He's sitting at like a 15.8 right now. He was well over 16 stock, so I guess the bolt ons do pretty good, considering he has a 4x4 and the "little" motor. It sounds damn good too with the exhaust setup!

my cousin had a 2000 ex cab 5.4L 4x4 with a heavy *** fifth wheel hitch and grill guard crap and it felt real torquy (SP). he had a mass air meter, fipk and exhaust. it was a turd, but felt strong and sounded nice.

a mustang dyno won't show the same numbers a dynojet will from what i understand. say you might make 24 on one and drive off it and onto the other and make 30 on the other.
