Default moldings

i wanted to get opinions if i should
1: put gmc chrom moldings on just the front and ext doors(like the 03+)
2: put gmc moldings on the bed too (99-02 trucks)
3: gut gmc paintable moldings
4: leave what i have
5: no moldings (least favorite) keep in mind i go to college and the people don't give a **** how fast they open their car doors on to your truck. also i have been hit 3 times in my college parking lot 1 time totaling $850, the only time it wasn't a hit and run was when they sayed and only hit me grille guard. oh and i do park in the back
my truck now:

no moldings:

Since you have the black fender flares, the stock moldings don't look too bad. I have never seen the painted gmc moldings, but the painted chevy moldings do look good as well. Of course I would take them off, but I understand your reasoning for keeping them on.

I think that debadged looks the best, but I left mine on because like you mentioned, people are animals and don't give a poop about slammin their doors into yours. (I still wanna remove them, but 6-7 years on a black truck, I think that's just too long at this point) I think that paint matched mouldings would be a nice alternative though.

if you like the black fenders leave em.. but honestly.. i think it would look good with no black fenders and gmc chrome moldings since your truck is darker

where did you park to get an $800 hit? I've seen some viscious hit and runs in the Zachry lot, but nothing that bad.

this was in galveston at the a&m campus, got the rear quarter pannel of my T/A
i know what the truck looks with out the flares and it just looks to bare too me, didn't like it, maby if it had larger tires. also i am going to paint the handles and mirror caps.
oh by the way this is what the truck looked like before the flares, also on the driverside the rear flare is covering up where the previous oner scraped a pole or something

oh alright... ya your right.. it does almost make it look like theres something missing w/o the flares. What about if they were smoothed and painted black or painted the truck color? that would look good. and than no moldings or the gmc chrome.. i really like that chrome molding for some reason

i have seen tahoe with maroon flares and they just don't look good, and since all the other plastic is textured these just went best.

this is about the best pic i can come up with

One thing I like about red and maroon is how well it goes together with black. I wonder how the gmc moldings painted flat/satin black to match the other plastics would look.
