have you been back to the track since you did the cam and such. i hope you win, but if you can't run a 15.3ish after the new mods it won't look good for you.

In a situation like that I would have to pick up a dry kit and spend a day hiding it. You need to not only win, but embarrass him in the process. Stuff like that irritates the hell out of me. The fact of the matter is that most people dont know **** period. In the span of a week, I had a tech at the dealership tell me I should take my truck in to have it looked at as he can hear it whining from down the street and 4 people at CompUSA tell me that there is no such thing as a PCMCIA card with serial ports and they dont know of any place that carries serial to USB adapters. I promptly showed them the 4 rows of Serial to USB adapters sitting in the same isle that we were standing in.

you bring up a good point. i agree. i hate when people act like they know all there is to know. if you have the money do what greentahoe said, hook it up. and then hook them up.

Yep i say blow his door hinges off... I ran a 15.7 b4 the nelson, shanner s2, MSD's and i spanked my friends 4door hemi we are both 4WD though!! Launch in 4WD and embaris him off the line... a little tip for ya also, when you launch break stall to no more than 1000rpm, reason being that the torque managment will kick in and ruin your 60' !! So throw er in 4wd if you have it, break stall low, then punch it and blow off the hinges Oh and a little N20 never hurt nobody

Alex, you're truck feels so much faster than 16.1. Did you have any luck with getting that tune fully uncorked?

Guys, here is a log we pulled earlier this year. A 'scanned' 525ft/lbs, 61% throttle, out of PE, with wacky fuel trims. The pedal was to the floor, but TM is limiting the throttle.

I'm just curious why you went with a cam THAT SMALL in an 8.1 ???, that's smaller than marc_w and I are running in 6.0's.....and we've got baby cams !!!!

on topic.....I'm pretty sure you can run circles around a mid-90's Saab

I don't think there are too many cam options out there for the 8.1's... I remember seeing three or so a while back, this was one of them.

The truck actually has a pretty good cackle to it! More than mine on some days...

Ya the cam is small and if I knew what I know now back then I would have went bigger. I went with this cam because I did not want to lose any low end, it picked up alot with this cam and I am very happy with it. If I ever have it apart again I will probably have comp custom grind me a cam.
