Default Metal Shavings

Well, last night I noticed the truck was idleing a little rough. And when I accelerated a knocking sound increased. At first I thought it was just an exhaust leak. I changed the oil and noticed a bunch of tiny metal shavings on top of my oil pan/bucket. I also could not find any exhaust leaks. The sound seems to be coming from the bottom rear near the passanger side. Any ideas? Oil pressure is normal.

The truck is an 06 5.3 with 121k on the clock. The trans has been slipping for a while, and I just bought a built 4l65e. I was looking foward to the truck running good again. The truck drives fine, just makes that sound. It does still sounds like an exhaust leak along with a dull knocking sound. I've also have a kenne bell s/c thats been waiting to be installed as soon as the trans was replaced. Bumbed!

No pictures. They were small particles. I could run my finger on top of my oil drain pan and see the particles on my finger. I will see if i can get some pictures tonight.
