First test & tune at Memphis tonight,I'll get BS fliers for this and I had a Great night.
First pass I crack the bottle for the first time since cam change,felt weak down low but ran 14.07 at 97 ( my best) and beat an 11.sec corvette(he almost hit the wall launching and rolled out slowly, cleaning his shorts I think)
after that I ran motor pass of 14.95 at 92.45 and parked.
Last year a duromax came to Memphis From Jackson and ran 14.6 at 90+ outrunning my 15.3 at 88. When the same truck tech'd in I went to welcome him back,He had several friends with him and I don't think he remembered me. I follow him to staging lanes but his buddies are out and wanting to run for $100. I told 'em I didn't have the cash but if he was scared to run me for giggles, go on and hustle a mustang.I pulled in front of him,putting him right behind me at the line.I ran 14.94 at 92.5 with him watching from the line. He ran a 14.8 at 80 (obviously letting out I know he runs at least 90)
When he came back around ,without the loudmouth,we agreed to run for laughs.
When we get to staging again I had to ask a young guy in a ricer to step out so I can run the diesel,He gladly moved saying"I sure hope you beat that Guy he's a real@$$#ole", I smiled and said I'm going to. At that time loudmouth returned wanting to bet that hundred.I told him if he drove the duromax I'd run him for $200.,he couldn't have gotten behind the wheel any faster going to a fire.
I told him I don't usually run for money it causes hard feelings and is not worth it to me,but you are such an *** I'll make an exception, besides I doubt if you can drive it.When we launched .068 me .271 him we were neck and neck due to his 1.9 60' he never was that close again.He ran 14.6 @90.4
and saw my Green tailgate all the way.
Got gas money SAR or bust.
