Has any one done a swap from Manuel windows and locks to power ? Let me start by saying this is my first post, I've been lurking for a while now on this form and I thought it was time to become a member. I recently picked up a 2003 silverado scsb it's the plane Jane no power options hell it didnt even have cruise control. I wanted to swap it to power windows and locks I'm not worried about parts by buddy bought a 2001 Silverado for his ls swap and he is letting me have anything I want from the interior. With that being said i swapped over all the guts and wiring over to my doors but havent wired them in. i know the 03s and up power options run through the pcm but the 02s and down dont. Can anyone throw me a bone?

 

at this point just swap the rest of the harness over to 99-02. your running gen 3 anyways. should be a straight forward plug and play swap.

So do I just hook up to the under dash fuse bbn lock or would I need to run a wiring harness to under the hood fuse block ?

 

no because it runs through the bcm on your model year, only choice is to convert the entire dash harness and pcm and harness all to 99-02 or try to find a cab harness bcm and modules from a 03 and have it flashed upon install, alot of the strippers arnt equipped with the proper provisions. it shouldnt be to difficult to run power and ground to the switches via a acessory wire but if your after keyless entry and such changing harnesses is really about the only choice

 

LS6RCSB. I have 99 manual and I have all electric parts for locks windows . So 99-02 doesn’t run into BCM? What do I need to wire everything together ? I like it to plug not factory panel on each side of dash .. is it as simple as power/ground on each side and wiring it

 

the power window trucks have those plugs one on either side for the long white harness plugs, theres diagrams on the forum for the pinouts on the harnesses. no as far as ive been aware 99-02 doesnt run such through the bcm like 03+ . power and ground in proper pins will make them work. if not youll have to swap 99-02 dash harness from pw/pl truck

 

my truck was a w/t as well but when it was swapped the entire cap harness was changed with ecsb fully loaded.
