Default Man I love my exhaust.

I really need to get a sound bite of the FLP headers and Magnaflow catback together. Damn, they sound good. It's so quite at idle inside the truck that you hardly hear anything but, outside it's got a nice subtle rumble. Then when you hit the pedal it sounds SWEET!!!! The sound is unique and hard to compare to anything I've ever heard. It really sounds good under overpasses and next to road barriers.

Like this just cruising and then like this at WOT

Just happy with my exhaust after putting up with that homemade rigged up POS that was on there when I bought the truck.

I'll try and get a soundbite this weekend sometime.

John

Sound clips would be awesome. I like my flowmaster and all, but am thinking of going with a muffler thats more chill on sound. Your description is what I've been looking for.

John, do you have the actuall Magnaflow catback or an exhaust shop fabbed one? What size muffler is that? And did you get the ORY or the catted one with the FLP's? I am tring to figure out what to do with my exhaust. Since I took the cats off, the dual 14" Magnaflows are a tad loud for everyday. I am thinking of going back to a single 3" with a good y-pipe and the big case Magnaflow along with a cutout for the track.

It's a complete single 3" Magnaflow catback. I'll have to check the muffler size. I'll try to get a picture of it this weekend while I'm working on the truck. The FLP's only come with cats. There is no ORY right now. I don't like the sound of these motors without cats so I'm keeping them. I would like to try and build a custom ypipe with cutouts in front of cats but, I don't have time or space right now.

I drive about 100 miles a day for work and a loud droning exhaust gets old REAL QUICK. This is the perfect combination IMO , quiet when I want it to be and loud when I want it to be.

I'm pretty sure I can get some sound clips this weekend sometime. Everyone check back Monday afternoon.

John

I liked the sound a little better with the cats too but at 70K I felt they were starting to impeed performance a bit so I whacked them off. I do still have them though. I think a single 3" big case Magnaflow with a cutout will be just the ticket for me. Thanks for the info.

Hey john are the flp's coated or stainless. I think I may either get this system or the asm's this winter and really thinking of them so I can get y pipe also. Do they fit good and not sure if I will go with magnaflow or corsa.
