You also can tell if your truck is made in mexico by the VIN.
I believe its the first number in the VIN. If its 1 its U.S. and if its 2 its made in america I believe.

Been a while since I have looked this info up.

they make them over there beacuse they dont have to pay much as if they were making the U.S .that is why many companies move to mexico. cheap labor.

Don't be to sure.

Those little thingy's that make the door stay open half way and all the way, the little black things that go from the door to the door seal, they are made in Mexico too. They suck though, they don't have near the quality standards the spring people do. There's some other things too, I just can't think of any right now.

Completely different monster, but, I once had a Fender Precision bass that was Mexican/American. Think it was called the California P-Bass. Anyway, it was supposedly American parts and the bodies were painted and finished in Mexico, then they were built in the US to keep them American (American musical instruments are more desireable and therefore about 3 times as expensive as the Mexican ones). Well, after I got it home and examined it closer, I realized that the sunburst finish was crap! Uneven, with a dark spray mark through the lighter part, that I somehow missed at the store...but it sounded decent.

Ended up selling it and putting the money towards my grille, bowtie, and Budweiser. (I still have 4 others)

The stock radios are made in Mexico in the city where I go to medical school. There's nothing wrong with parts that are made in Mexico. The places that make these parts comply with ISO 9001 and other international standards. The M6 transmissions in the F-bodies are made by TREMEC in Mexico also.
