Kano gained 2.5mph, with similar track conditions. Not to mention, it dropped him down a tenth to the 60' and he had to come out of the hole off idle as opposed to before, where he would stall the converter up.

Reaper with his H/C 5.3L, said to me after the swap, "It feels like I gained 50HP at every RPM."

BlackSheep also had tremendous gains back in the day.

Then, you have the countless dyno graphs that flatline at 5500-5900RPM, meaning no more power gain. The LS6 intake can make peak HP at 6200-6400 RPM.

I guess once BlueCajun starts running 12.2s in his cammed 5.3L, some of you might realizing that the truck intake is a restriction.

mine is right there too, maybe a hair higher. there is no question that with only a cam any of the LS6 style intakes would gain over the truck manifold.

The stock manifolds have made some quite impressive time slips here so in other words dont fix it if it aint broken. You should just sell the LS6 intake on ls1tech, but if your still wanting to do the swap do a search and you will find some good info.
Well for starters, I do have a stall(3800 in my sig) but I did a search on here and thats my problem!!! Too much info and now about the whole thing!! I was going to start the mods in October(after the wifes B-day on the 26th) and get this thing rolling.

Thanks, James

I think so too......but on the same token, in order to benifit from a LS6 intake, I think you would have to do all the mods to make power lets say from 5600rpm to 6500rpm and stop @ 6500rpm if you desire. I was just alittle nervous because they way some people on here were talking like you had to spin this thing min:6000rpm-max:7200rpm. I don't want to do this. 6500rpm will do it for me. But thank you for your insight!!

I'm mean the rod bolts mainly but everything else that is in the main engine(i.e.crank, rods, rod bolts.........the parts that are inside the block). Some people on here run the **** out of their engines but I'm not going to go this route. I'm scared!!LOL!! Shut up Cody!!!!
