Default LS1 intake?

How much gain would I get from an LS1 (not ls6) intake over the truck intake. I found one f/s for $50. Is it worth it?

I know that around 2000 or 2001 they switched to all LS6 intakes, and I assume they flow better, but can the LS1 be as bad (or just as good as) the truck intake?

flow tests show that the LS1 flows worse than the trucks, especially for a truck/torque needing application

ls1 intakewould allow you to get ready for the performance swaps. it does flow less then your typical truck intake but for the apperance factor it looks much better.

Is the TBSS/SSR intake a dealer only thing? I haven't been able to find it. All the online parts dealers only have stuff for the 6 cyl. TB. Either that, or I am RETARDED, which is possible

i thought intake on the truck is taller than ls1/ls6 cause the longer runner for low end torque

http://www.gm-parts-dealer.com/parts.htm

This looks like it costs $150
Search a 2006 TB-> Fuel System-> Manifold-> intake manifold

Could that be correct? Is that a good $? I haven't called the dealer to see what they want yet.
