Unhappy love/hate relationship with my boyds

like the title says I have a love/hate relationship with my 17x10 boyd magneato sixs. sure, they look great, but the valve stem is inside the rim and because of that they are a bitch to try to put air into. also, trying to get the lug nuts on and off isn't the easiest task either. the space between the lug nuts and the spokes is very minimal. it's so bad I had to go out and buy a socket with a small outer diameter just so I could tighten the lug nuts all the way down. since day one these rims have been a pain in my a$$. and now I am considering buying new rims. I've thought about speaking to someone at Boyd Coddington about my problems and seeing if they could help me out, but I doubt they would. what do you guys think I should do???? I considered winning the lotto, but I figured someone else needs it more than I do.

I have a similar love/hate with my timeless sixs, only for one main reason. I HATE POLISHING THESE BASTARDS! They are hard as hell to keep clean. I'm seriously considering getting these things powdercoated a gunmetal or getting them chromed. Other than that, I love the wheels.

I got some 18" Budniks with Tires! And the Valve stem is on the outside! I could save you $$ on shipping and meet you!

DO NOT dip them in chrome, it won't stick. Believe me from experience. I cancelled the order on the 20'' Foose speedster's and decided to go back to the 18'' timeless 6's polished. I've heard if you wash them at least once a week they should stay pretty new looking. I wonder if I could get them ceramic coated like the Intro's? That would be worth the money.

You can get them powder Coated and leave the polished lip! Some places do it pretty cheap. Maybe less then $200 for all four!

You can have just the spokes/design powder coated and leave the outer lip polished. I have a few friends that have powder coated wheels, they have held up for a few years now. They look good to me. I'll post some picks for ya!
