Lots of email viruses going around
#1
I usually get 1 a week or so but today when I checked my email I had 20 email viruses! They were all from Microsoft addresses and the subjects were Message Undeliverable or Software Patch etc. Luckily this POS Webtv is not affected. Is anybody else getting a lot of them today? Watch out for them. Viruses

I just worked on a neighbor's computer that had a worm. Thankfully he didn't lose anything.
Here are some tips for you Outlook users to keep from inadvertantly opening an e-mail containing a virus.
1. Turn off message preview in the preview pane.
2. Of course, never open an attachment unless you've scanned it with your virus scanner. Even if it comes from a trusted friend or not they could unintentionally send you a virus or worm from thier machine without any knowledge of it.
3. View your message in TEXT format not HTML.
This should at least offer a little bit more defense from viruses in addition to your virus scanner. Just be sure to keep your virus definitions updated regularly, like once or twice a week.

There's one out right now that looks like an official Microsoft patch. One thing to remember is that Microsoft doesn't send patches or updates through e-mail.
