Expect to see figuirse anywhere from 26k-28k for a nicely loaded rcsb 5.3. You play your cards right, I am sure you can bring them down to about 20k with all the discounts being offered right now. Just what do you m ean by Gremlins in your pcm? LOL

Hey 99Silver, how did the 02 PCM work? I too have a 99 GMC that pulls 8º of timing due to false knock. Have not desensitized my sensors yet.

How did you get around the EGR? Do you have emissions test where you are?

Did you ever resolve the battery light issue?

TS99,

The 02 PCM works great. I do not have to worry about emissions here in KS so the EGR deal isnt an issue. Although the battery light does flash every now and then.

WELL, the stealership lived up to its name today. They only wanted to give me 5K for my truck. Told the salesman no ******* deal. They only wanted 21000 and some change for a loaded brand new 04 Silverado in Arrival Blue. Minus some 4000 dollar rebate. I would still like to get the truck but my truck is worth more than 5000. Need to sell it outright I guess. Or get my dad to buy it from me.

That sucks! 5 grand!?! I looked at getting a new 04 Sierra ECSB 1/2 ton with the LQ9. It stickered for $32K and they wanted to give me $12k for my truck and $5K for my car and told me drive-out would be $40K for that 04. I walked out, that was just F*CKING RIDICILOUS !!!!! I'm going to sell the GT1 out right and keep my truck.

Good Luck Jared !!!

Best bet is to sell it 'private party'. My friend is a used car dealer (mostly Volvos, BMWs, Benz, etc) who buys the cars people trade-in at the dealer for new vehicles. Dealers like this arrangement because they don't have to cart their trade-ins up to auction and sell them. He pays them below wholesale (low Blue Book) for these cars, fixes them up, and sells them. If dealers have to take those vehicles up to auction they usually go for low book (if it's a good car), so you know they aren't going to give you more than low book, and take a loss.

Best to sell your truck yourself, then go to the dealer ready to make a deal.
