Default Looking at 1999 2500

Taking my friend tomorrow to look at a 1999 2500 4X4 Ext. Cab w/ 6.0 engine and 120K on the odometer.

Does the 99 2500 have any known problems he should know about?

What tranny would this most likely have...4l80e?

I checked the recall lists and didn't see anything too bad.

We're going to look at it tomorrow, after lunch. Can't think on any empty stomach!

I would just do a good overall check of it, cv's, put it in 4 to make sure everything works right, check fluids, but yea it will have the 80e

Just an update- my friend bought it. Other than a bent bumper, it's in nice shape...Leather interior, drivetrain was tight, no leaks, didn't smoke, new brakes.
The guy who owned it used it to tow his john boat for fishing. But he bought a new truck for that.

It's not a daily, just a chore truck, so it'll be fine. But yeah, it's a dog, big time....
