Looked at a Joe Gibbs this evening....

Holy ****. FORTY SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS!! I don't even know how a bank would loan on one of those. The truck itself has a sticker of about $27,000. Banks can load up to about 125% of sticker with stellar credit, not 175%.
They are cool trucks, but damn. This one had a 5.3, Baer brakes, etc. and it had a 5-speed which was really cool. Kind of lets me know that those 5-speeds can take some power and survive.
The stealership has 3 of them, which have been there forever, (I wonder why). They sold one to a cash customer.
****, for that much $$$, I could buy a Lightning and have $10,000 left over to invest.
Anyway, I just had no idea they were that expensive.

Yeah I also looked at the JG truck before purchasing my 6.0 but they want way to much $$$$$ for it for what it is. I actually could have got a good deal on the truck(low 30's)but after ttl it was around 34,000 to finance and i would have got a 5.94% rate. I didnt do it cause you lose so much money on that truck when u drive off and if i wanted to trade it in like in 2 yrs or so i would be way upside down-so bottom line its a bad decision unless u have the money to pay cash.

Even on Joe Gibb's site, it says the 5spd is available with the 4.8 only. You can't get the 5spd with the 5.3.

You can get a nice garage to build youi a truck for alot less. Check out AZ Speed and Marine - they build the Chapman Trucks (which are still a rip off, but sell really well here in AZ). AZ Speed has a real clean shop and have built some stinking quick trucks. Showcase had a pretty good deal on a Denali which had a Radix, Flows, Brembo, 22" Centerline, Proxes, Hotchkis 2/4 drop and sway bars, color keyed exterior and grill with a 15" LCD DVD for $55K. Not too bad when you consider the sticker price . They were having a hard time moving it though, it's hard to sell a $55K truck at a GMC dealership.
Kwkshift, I'm down in Chandler if you ever want to meet up.

I'm just going off what the paperwork stated. The JG sheet in the window stated it was a 5.3. If it is a 4.8, then it's an even bigger rip-off.
Sitting right next to them was a whole row of crew-cab 4x4 3500's LT's with the Duramax engine for the same sticker price.
Gee, I wonder which one I'd buy? Hmmmm.

Wow ...
I think I have about 12k in mine ... all labor excluded. It's got twice the ***** that JG truck does though ..
You really want it .. I'll put a RADIX, LT headers, some sway bars, and a new exhaust on a truck for you and charge you a lot less than they will.
