Default Look out for the Titan!

I was reading in Popular Mechanics Jan 2004 issue last night. They had a truck shootout between all the fullsize trucks. They claim that a Nissan Titan with a 1000 lb load can out run A comparibly equipped EMPTY Silverado, F-150, and Tundra. They had track times to prove it. And almost beat the Seirra Denali and a Hemi empty. This Titan Must be one bad ****. I say

I test drove one up at Trophy Nissan in Dallas, and they are slow as crap. The guy got on it, bragging about the 5.6 liter, and I had to ask him if he was flooring it. Pretty sad if you ask me! This was the crew cab 4X4 edition. The interior was nice, and they all came with sprayed in liners and sliders for a toolbox to fit into. Transmission felt good, but had slow shifts, even at WOT. I would never spend the 33K sticker price, or the 28K asking price.

I think in the comparison the Nissan was the only truck with posi rear end. Hmmm.

The salesman said the Titan didnt have a posi in the rear?! Well, he also said it weighed 6500 pounds and had more HP and TQ than any 1/2 ton truck. He was trying to describe some system that helps you to get out of the mud, but had no idea what he was talking about. I would never trust an imported full size truck!

Well, that says it then, we all know those two trucks are slow as crap. A Seirra Denali runs 16.5's stock with that AWD/4 wheel steering, and well, the other is a Dodge.
