Is there a weight savings with the composite bed on these trucks?

Depends on how silly you want to get (for a DD).

The only ones I know of that have not been discussed in the many threads are:

1. Removal of the rad. overflow and extra fluid. Tech doesn't like that too much so just draining the extra fluid will save you 10#'s.
2. Ditch the windshield washer fluid res and pump/tubing. If you are real crazy, the wipers and motor as well.
3. Cut the "extra" off of every bolt that is used. If you want to spend the $$$, replace with Ti or your material of choice.
4. Replace rear glass with lexan.
5. Smaller mirrors, throw out the windshield mounted one.
6. All the EVAP crap around the gas tank, smaller tank while you are at it.
7. Do an Al exhaust and dump it. (hollow cats)

There are more that I haven't heard yet but I got to get out of work,...Long day.

There's a few pieces of solid metal in the engine bay like the piece underneath the stock air box.

Also all that egr/air(if applicable) weighs a good bit so you can remove that.
If you can do the battery mod to move it to the rear of the truck, that's a good 30 pounds of better weight distribution
haha quite a few of those sound silly to me.

The stock y-pipe weighs a ton. Replace it with an off road y-pipe.
