I do not understand why last post was deleted. I thught we came together here to share information regarding our vehicles both good and bad. I bet there are many forum members here with this problem that would like to know more about it. Evedently, the three forum director got some of the very few abnormal engines that do not knock. As a result, are not to fond of this topic.
Again, this post is to merely informed concerned forum member about piston slap that GM has really stepped out of its boundaries. It has invaded our 1st Amendment of the Bill of Rights. That is right. GM is threatning to take action against consumers who complain about their oir burning and knocking engine. Early this year this website was created to inform consumer about this issue. GM told the creator of this website to neautrilize his website or face " serious reprisals" from the corporation. This is a perfect example of how giant corporations bully individuals and small entities due to their financial and political leverage. We must stick together and contunue our efforts to win this battle against GM. Remember that it was public opinion and awareness that ended the Soviet Union, not missiles

WE'VE HEARD THIS SOB STORY BEFORE!!!!!!!!
IF WE WERE CONCERNED, WE WOULD CONTACT YOU!!!
THE LOOSER CLEARANCES IN THE ENGINE ALLOW THE OIL TO DRAIN OUT OF THE CYLINDER CAUSING THE COLD START KNOCK (PISTON SLAP). THE LOOSER CLEARANCES ARE WELCOME FOR US HIGH RPM USERS (most on this board are perfomance oriented).
I welcome the forum directors to delete any post about piston slap. If someone has heard about it, they can do a SEARCH. There are plenty of posts on the subject.

Hello? If you looked, it was moved to "GM Truck Appearance & Chat".
I don't have any piston slap. If I did have it I would have my mechanic take a look at the engine internals and have him make a professional opinion as to what effect, if any, the piston slap has done.

But, instead I simpley moved it to where it should have been posted orginally and left it intact for our members to see for themselves. I feel that the members here can decipher the propaganda and see what little help this site provides on its own merit.
Even as you say you are here to inform, the only information you are providing is how NOT to get help. Ranting and raving gets attention but the wrong kind of attention.
The site owner feels wronged and left out to dry, so he collects as many people to side with him as he can find. He says we are all like minded and you have wronged us equally and this is what we think of you and this is what you've done (insert inflamitory unfounded remarks such as those comparing their actions to communism <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> ) Make many generalizations and claim to have hard facts. After all this you wonder why GM has contacted him advising him to "put up or shut up."
Can't you see how ridiculous this is? Again you plight may be true but this is not the way to handle it.
Richard
