I think they're overated, sorry. It weighs 5000 lbs and has a 2.90 rear, I don't see how it could be that fast. I think my truck weighs around 4500-4600 lbs with a stock 3.42 rear.

Some of you sound like you're speaking without knowing what the Titan/Tundra is about. Sure the Titan has a claimed 305hp, but every magazine that has ever tested it says that's way off. It's quicker than the 345 Hemi's for a few reasons: 1. Lighter weight 2. More REAL power (power at the wheels) 3. 5-speed auto with better gearing. It's the fastest stock truck out there, like it or not.

On the Tundra: in case you don't know, they're 240hp (but lighter weight). As of '05 they bumped the motor up to 282hp and it has a 5-speed auto.

Both of these truck test as being quicker than the Chevy 5.3's in all the major magazines. Like it or not, that's how it is. But as I've said before, how many of us are running around stock, and think we're fast???

 

You are an idiot, clealry you have no concept of trucks faster than ours. A BONE STOCK Titan 4x4 crew runs 15.4 which is probably 1 second faster than the GM counter part. I don't know about Tundra's 1/4 but a friend of mine with a 97 5.7L EC 2wd got his *** handed to him by a 01 tundra.

2000silverado saying he raced this Tundra sounds more like he just took off and the Tundra wasn't racing him. Not saying he couldn't win just from the stroy it's not like they agreed to race from a 60 roll or from a dig.

 

WELL I DONT HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY ABOUT THE TITANS CAUSE I HAVENT RACED ONE YET. BUT AS FAR AS THE TUNDRAS GO I HAVE RACED 3. ONE WAS AN 03 AND TWO WERE 02s. I SMOKED ALL THREE OF THEM BY AT LEAST 6 TRUCK LENGTHS. THEY WERE ECSB 4WD. I HAVE A RCSB 4WD. BUT WE ARE REALLY AROUND THE SAME WEIGHT. HE MIGHT OUT WEIGH ME BY 100 OR 200 #. SO **** THE TUNDRAS.

 

Well, I've never raced a Tundra, but when I test drove a 2004 Crew Cab Tundra, it felt weak to me. Good ride, but a little weak in the pants. I didn't know they had bumped the power up though for 05.

Now the Titans are a total different story altoghter. They are damn fast. I have raced one of those and its a crew cab too. Even with all the mods on my truck, couldn't beat him. He's on the gas, but even without spraying, he runs low 14's and that is like with only an intake and exhaust I think. He might have a few other things, but it ain't much. His screen name on tech is "The Head"

 

How can you say that when I just beat the crap out of one? Not racing huh? I guess that's why he blew by me and kept going. Besides, he would see that i'll catching up so i'm guessing he was racing me.
