Thats good for like maybe 20hp...... ok so now your at 310 at the crank.. and the SS

is at 345.. With around 22% drivetrain loss... your somewhere in the 230-245's the

SS is around 270 now thats 20-25hp more.... Supposing everything is pretty equal in

terms of loss.... Now that puts him 20-25 more hp than you....

Man Im sorry I dont like to flame on our own members but this guy is ignorant. Really his 6.0 got more HP than 230-245 rwhp. My 5.3 with a ASP, shitty superchips tune, KN Fpik and Borla did 255 rwhp (see sig) Thats before the headers and new Diablo tune. If you got a 4L60E you have around a 19% drive loss a 80E might be 22%. I havent raced a SS yet but I would like to. Im thinking Im making around 265-270rwhp in a 4226 pound truck. Also there is some 5.3's seeing 50 rwhp with a cam and tune! Remember anything can happen on the street, 12 sec Cobras can turn into high 13 car in the hands of a bad driver.

Racer look at the elevation 4000ft above sea level. Thats why hes running 16's.

4,000FT up here.
Yeah, this elevation sucks. But its cool when I get back down around sea level, It feels like I have a RADIX under the hood.

Your right about the 50rwhp outta a much bigger cam than mine.... I have one of the smallest comp makes.... oh and 30hp was just cam......

My buddy's SS ran ran a 15.2 stock.... Your telling me that a person with a less

horsepower engine and probably heavier runs a 15.3.... i mean the point is really not

arguing. You know and I know that you didnt beat an SS by 4 truck lenghts....

Let me tell you how the real story went...

- You floored it behind him..... as soon as you got to his door he slowly started pulling ahead...... and he beat you by 4 truck lengths.... maybe 5

Oh and as it goes for greentahoe.... I have to worry about school and other more

important things..... .I really dont care if I can ever swap a cam... I have MUCH more important things to do....

I can get a video of my buddies Tundra (completly stock) beating his uncles 2003 6.0

4x4 HD 2500.....

And i've personally raced his tundra and have beat it.... so now.... I have been beaten

by an SS... and I can beat the tundra which beat the 2003 6.0 2500 HD.. Now

That only means one thing.... You have the fastest 99 6.0 2500 4X4 known

to man.... congrats...

Im a little late in the argument, but was someone on here saying that the 99 2500 hd w/4l80 4x4 w/20s weighs less than the SS he raced. I dont see how they would vary in weight any. I guess it could happen, tunes definitley help the 6.0 out an INCREDIBLE amount. When me and my brother, who is the guy Cammin03 is reffering to, took out his hot tune and put the stock one back in, the truck felt like it fell on its face, the SS's are very detuned from the factory, possibley all of the 6.0s are but i dont know.

I do know that my uncle has a 03 crewcab 6.0 4x4 hd. Me and my brother were in my dads tundra while we were all on our way down to florida. We got beside him, he hit it first and by 85 or so we started pulling ahead. To put this into perspective, my 97 1500 excab 5.7 has pulled my dads 2wd tundra and my friends 02 2wd tundra. This was with 2 rusted flowmasters. My chevy could be a freak too, I just got a superchips tuner and i can take my friends 02 5.4 single cab Boss f-150. If your hd is that fast that is great, but they are definitly not that fast around here. Your story makes we want to buy my uncles truck and slap a radix on it!

Doesn't seem hard to believe to me. This is a light duty 2500 not HD. His truck is lighter and comparably powerful. Good Kill!
