man thats a long *** trip. me, my girlfriend, and a buddy of mine went down to allen nelson's friday to get a street tune done on my truck. first of all i would like to say he is an awesome guy and very friendly. i also met ross aka rossco from the site. by the way his truck is clean as hell and fast as hell too. he's also a very friendly and nice guy. anyway allen and i headed out to do the street tune and man what a difference. he said that my timing was a little low and it could use a lot more so he bumped it up a good bit and now it wants to go sideways from a punch. anyway after we did the tune a few of us went out to SA dragway and we made a few passes. my best was 14.47 at 93.62mph. thats right at .5 tenths faster before the street tune, cam, and e fans. and this is with about 30 miles on the tune, so i imagine its a little faster now that i drove about 500 or so miles home. the other great thing is i beat a 5 speed gt mustang 02 model that had a few bolt ons on it. not sure exactly what cuz he wouldn't say. guess he was kinda upset he got beat by a Z71! so thanks again allen. so what do you guys think about the new times, do they sound pretty good for the mods.

 

It was good to meet you guys to. I'm going to the muffler shop tomorrow to make sure mine sounds a little more like yours.

I was thinking about having allen do a dyno custom tune. How much did it run if you dont mind me asking. I already have a tune from him.

 

Sorry I missed you guys...by the time I got off work it was almost 11. I went ouy there anyway because sometimes they are open very late. I hadn't been out there at night since the Nats in April.

It was still there. They were in the process of converting the wiring harness to accomidate the new injectors. It sucks that you didn't get all your parts when you ordered it. I'm sure you're going to love it when it's all said and done.

 

they are dynomax bullets the shorter ones im not sure how long i cant remember. anyway i will try to get a firewire today so i can get those vids up. if i have to i will email them to you. ive never actually done it before so i will get a buddy of mine to show me how.

 

if you already have a tune it wont cost anything. and a dyno tune is not what you need. you need a street tune. then you can put it on the dyno which costs $75 for about 5 pulls.
