Default Jackstand placement

Going to swap transmission and want a little more clearance. What do you guys think about placing jack stands under control arms?

Thats fine, under the frame rails as far forward as you can get them...

If the control arm is going to meet the jackstand at anything but a 90* angle, bad juju.

Didn't work for me so used the stock location behind wheel. Just had to remove jack stand to get transmission out. Thanks
