Default I've got bad luck (long)

Tonight I went out to see what my truck can do stock, and have some fun. First, there was an accord with dual exhaust but he turned into a gas station (And before I go any farther, I would like to say that Austin, TX is infested with rice on every street). Then there was an older eclipse with paint like the one off 2 fast 2 furious but he got on the highway (it's dark I don't know the roads worth crap). To get to the piont I pulled up to a 4-door 04 f-150 with what looked like a dodge stealth in the far lane. I was telling myself not to do it because he weighs more and it wouldn't be fare. And to my suprise they both took off and raced to the next light I was so pissed, it could have been a 3-way race! And I would have killed them because I was easily hanging with them. Afterwards the f-150 turned off another way with the steath in the lane next to me, but there was a minivan in front of him. Now here's the funny part, the minivan also took off fast with the stealth behind him, but I wasn't looking at the light! Oh well, maybe I'll have better luck next time.

I should also add that this wasn't a total waste. I did a 20-75 mph run and it didn't do too bad. I also learned the shift point is set at around 5500 rpm

Here, I got one for you...

Only race I ever had in the truck, btw. Pull up to the light in left lane. Some kid in daddy's f150 crew in right lane. I stopped about a half-length behind him, hood at about rear door. He looks over as I pull up. I dismiss him. Cross street light turns yellow, he starts to power-brake and loads up. Alright, I'll play. I two-foot it but let it idle. Watch the light, punch it- get the hole for about ten feet... then the truck falls on it's face so hard I almost eat the wheel.

Forgot to turn the traction control off and barked the tires ....

I started running him down pretty quick and a damn Metro buss pulls out in front of us both ...

Arrrggghhh...... Only race in the truck so far and lost to a friggin' furd ...

Won't happen again !!!
