How about calling your friend in the service dept, have him come over and make sure you are doing the reset procedure properly. If it is not resetting even with the proper procedure, then I'm sure he can fix it.

As long as you are changing the oil regularly, you are fine - the oil light matters not.


BTW - a better subject line would have been something like "Oil light reset problems"
