Default Intake manifold ?'s

Which intake does everyone recommend for a 2006 GMC Sierra w/ a 4.8l?
Nothing to crazy, but something I won't regret.

Do a search, but the consensus is generally to keep the truck manifold until you have exhausted all of your other bolt-on mod options. Swapping to any car style manifold is not easy (new injectors and fuel rails are needed) and you are likely to give up low end torque for minimal top end gains.

Cool! I really appreciate the info. What would you recommend doing to the truck besides force feeding it.

What you mean crazy??. The cheapest you will prolly get away with doing a complet swap is at low ball 400, unless you get the stuff free.. LOL good luck

This site is your oyster my friend, and your choices are limited only by your wallet. Popular mods to start with are:

Exhaust (Muffler, cutouts and/or catback)
Cold Air Intake
PCM Tuning
Higher Stall Torque Converter
Gears
Headers
Camshaft
Cylinder heads

Do a search on all of these items, look at what the vendors listed on the right side of the page sell for each (TByrne is a good place to start, they have a little bit of everything).

Your questions are very basic, so just take your time reading on this site and whatever else you run across and I guarantee that 99% of what you are wondering has been discussed at length before.

Good luck.

I already have the tune, air intake, & exhaust. Just needed some additional info. Thanks a lot.
