int. light help please
#1
looking for some help with my light prob.
using the keyfob the int. lights won't come on. opening either door they won't come on, or pushing the dimmer switch up they wont come on? Also tried the overide? button as well but no luck .
The dash lights work, and the dimmer switch works for dimming the dash. And the over head compass lights work when manually turned on.
Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks yall

any ideas guys? I'd like to try the little stuff first before i go and buy the door latch/ switches cause i bet there not cheap.
If just one of the switches were out do think it would cause my problems?

If the bulb is OK, check and make sure that you have power and ground to the light. Could be the light fixture itself, or maybe the override switch is stuck. I doubt that there's a fuse problem, as I think that the map lights wouldn't work either.
Don't go buying the door lock assy's (where the courtesy switch is located)...they don't explain why the light isn't working when you turn the dimmer all of the way up. I'd be more inclined to think that the problem is located in the headlight/dimmer/override switch assy.

I'm going to assume that there are two wires going to the connector for that assembly, power and ground. Unplug the assembly, and jump across the two wires on the harness side with a test light (with the interior light turned on), and the test light should illuminate. If it does, then there is an open circuit in the interior light assy. If the light doesn't come on, then you have to see if you're missing power or ground and take it from there...
