It just covers up the grill with a screen to keep bugs and other debris out of there. After all, you don't want your intercooler to be all clogged up with bug guts and other crap, right? Gotta keep the ol' Dmax in top running condition.
It looks just like the winter cover that comes with the truck, but it's a screen instead of being solid. I kind of like the way the truck looks with with either one of the covers on there.
The summer bug screen also came with a winter grill cover, which was a waste because I already have a winter cover
The stock one is much nicer than the one that came with the bug screen, so I probably won't ever use it.

They stick to your paint like glue.

A couple of years ago it was so bad that it stayed kind of dim outside b/c there were so many! And the cars,
nastiest **** I have ever seen, it lasted all summer. AS a matter of fact, we put a bug zapper outside to kill them of and get rid of them around our place (I know, quality redneck entertainment) and it went out after like ten minutes! They come back every now and then and its pretty bad!
