Default Install stall and no or barely reverse.

Hey guys! So i just did my stall and got it running great! Shifts great! My issue is the reverse gear barely engages and doesnt move good at all. Is that a tune issue?? Or mechanical? Yes it sees its in reverse and lights come one. But doesnt repsond to throttle or it barely does and comes and goes.

Did you have it tuned after you put the stall? With big stalls it takes alot of gas pedal to get the truck

Probably when you installed the little lever cable on the trans, you didnt position it all the way correctly on the trans.
Would not be fully engaging, and leaving you in mid neutral? Just my theory.

Lol. Forgive me. I re-read it and realized how dumb that sounded.

I mentioned it simply because i did a trans swap once, and i didnt position the lever on the trans correctly, so finding a gear, or even getting into gear was a hassle.

After thinking it through, i dont think that applies here at all.

Trans fluid at proper level?

Possible broken ear on the pump/converter
Possible issue with the stator inside the converter

Seen it happen before. It just happened to also be a circle d converter too. Talk to chris if reverse worked good before the converter. Maybe its something hes run into before.

Best advice.

In all honesty, check your fluid levels while level, hot. It really does sound like a fluid level issue.

So i contacted Circle D and stated my issues. They were concerned that it wasnt install properly or a bad stall. They asked for fluid temp and if it was working 100%.
Fluid temo hasnt been past 165 and it works damn good. He said it might be normal and how big the stall is.

If i come to a grade in my drive way. No more then 2 % and dont get a "running start" itll stop and roll forward no matter how much gas i give it.
