It makes good power but it shifts to low and I'm not happy about that. It's shifting from 1-2 at 5600 (41 mph) and from 2-3 at 5200 (72 mph) which is where the truck shifts at stock, it's leaving a lot of performance behind shifting that low. I've tried all the shift and transmission settings, nothings worked. SPE has a 30 day money back guarantee if you're not happy with one of their products, I hope www.anythingtruck.com will honor that and not charge me a 20% restocking fee they show on their website for returns. I may try a GMS Predator next, Tom at www.tbyrnemotorsports.com has them for $419 and free next day air shipping.

I got a return confirmation from Any Thing Truck which is good, but don't know if I'll get a Predator. I've seen alot of guys saying it doesn't work right or it fried their ECM. I still have a Superchips Max Microtuner on the shelf I will just use for now, I may go back to an HPP later. I've seen post about Westers tuning, what's that? Do you send in your ECM or is it a tuner? I like the tuner aspect if you change gears or tire sizes, it's a quick recalibration and you're off. Can't decide what to do!!

Some of the problems with the Predator was that they were trying to load the program without the ignition in the "on" position. Other problems were with custom tunes that they tried to reload. If you really want to get a tuner I would get Ls1edit. There is a learning curve but there are many on this board that can help you. I knew someone who had a custom tune and had it overlayed when they brought their truck in to the dealer. The dealer not knowing reflashed the PCM. With LS1edit, you can just reload your tune.
I think you should get the Predator and then you can say you tried all of the handheld programmers.
