Seeing Red Again - Still looks like none of those Hemi's want to race and are just making excuses.

Wow, It sure amazes me If you go to the Dodge site you don't see a lot of people bashing Chevies, but you come over here and everyone is bashing Dodge. I have a Chevy and a dodge Hemi. A "stock" chevy runs great and a "stock" dodge runs great. Chevy has a lot of mods that can be done to them where dodge doesn't "yet" If a chevy with nods can't beat a "stock" dodge there is something wrong with it. I would dare not bash a chevy or a dodge, I think they are both great trucks. Ford on the other hand, Well, If they had better suspension. naaaaaaa, what was I thinking. Anyway this is all suposed to be in good fun. Did we forget that?

I don't think the smack talk has been bad at all. It's the attitude of "some" HEMI owners that get the smack started though. They act like it's some high performance beast just because it has a HEMI.

Heres a dodge that can beat Whitt1's Tahoe, and it's a freaking 1-ton. Point is that with the right mods they are all FAST.

yeah we all know any car can be fast with the right mods but that is very impressive, what is annoying is how the hemi guys think they are invincible yet are not willing to back it up

I have a QCSB 2x4 and I love it, It's not a race car, I think it does have impressive power. I want to be able to get past the electronic restrictions, but my be a while Dodge really did a number on what they have done with the computer to hold it back. On the other hand I have a Chevy 2500 QCLB 4x4 and I love it as well. but for me I like the way the dodge rides, the comfort and it was $25K Loaded.

Yea .. some of them are almost as bad as those damned Lightning guys. They think just cause they have an L that they CAN'T be beat.

Man .. I can't wait til I get a tranny for my truck, then I will have me an L eater, Hemi beater, and a rice cooker wrapped up in a little blue package. :p

SuperTom, I had a Dodge QCSB 2x4, non-Hemi as a rental once while mine was in the shop getting the T-case rebuilt. I will have to say, it ran comparable to my 4x4. It did have nice power, but I still think my 4x4 GM rode better and may have handled a little better even with the p285/75 BFG AT's on there. I dunno .. it was a tough call.

Keep in mind this was a 4x4 against a 2x4 too, and a non-HEMI.

I've got a race lined up with Chevy38fan after I get back from my vacation to New England. He's got a RCSB 2wd Hemi, basically a dodge version of my truck. We are going to run some weight reductions, but will try to keep it similar among our trucks for comparison's sake. Pretty cool guy. I'll let ya'll know how it turns out in a couple weeks!
