Default idle noise...please help

only when my truck is idleing in PARK it makes a rattling and/or ticking noise. i removed the valve cover and some of the rockers move side-to-side. but i heard that is normal for stock ones. is this a lifter or a bad rocker arm?

I wonder if thats a Vortech thing. Mine does the EXACT same thing. Its quite a bit louder when the AC is on, but you can only hear it outside of the car when it is in PARK. It definately isnt piston slap.
Let me know if you find anything out. I tightened my header bolts and checked the whole exhaust system as well.

Also Im working on fabricating ALL new piping to and from the blower. It should make a substantial difference in airflow and efficiency. Im also moving the MAF to a blow through type setup so that I can vent the bypass to atmosphere to keep from recirculating the hot compressed air. Take a look at the plastic 180 degree piece that feeds the inlet to the blower and the plastic piece that goes over the radiator. At some points they are only about an inch thick!! Im doing 3" piping all the way to the inlet and 4" from the blower outlet to the TB and switching to a dual nozzle alky setup. Do you have EL fans already? Those are definately needed to free up some space.

will today i took it out and played around with her and when i got home and let her idle for 5 mins she never even rattled?....so maybe it just the vortech crying to get beat on ?but i really don't know what the rattling is. Tell me how that new piping turns out, does like pretty shity design. But no it has the stock clutch fan. i want to replace them, but i think i will get cut-outs 1st. don't fans ned some kinda of computer tuning.
i have a list of stuff i want to get for her...injectors,fuel pump,nitrous....need to sell my wheeler 1st.then i have 4grand to play with
