Question I Wonder?

I wonder what it would look like to take a bed off of one of the 4-wheel steer trucks and put it on a RCSB with wide wheels and tires out back. Do you think it would work? Do you think it would look good? I have seen guys take dually beds and put wide slicks out back, but what about the 4-wheel steer beds?

i've seen the dually bed on a reg cab short bed with huge MT slicks out back...a friend of mine had one in a 97 model chevy 5spd 350 combo...it hooked pretty good but was otherwise slow and looked weird. now on a new truck it might be different but it's a look that you have to slam it to make it look ok.

While I don't know for sure, I'll bet it would be a bolt on procedure. I can't imagine GM using a different frame on quadsteer trucks. Just wouldn't be cost effective to do so IMO.

I agree, that's a good idea!

The bed looks like it is only about 4 inches wider on each side. I don't think it would have to be slammed to look good. I think a good raked stance would even look good. It might look better on a ExCab or a long bed at that!

Would probably be cheaper to have the fenders pulled out however far you want and repainted.

The bottom of the bed should be the same on the wide side and the fleet side. To do the conversion all that is needed is the left and right walls of the bed (inner and outer). The wide side bed is made of the dent resistant urethane. To do the mod and be legal you should install roof lights. I think the mod would look awesome with some fat steam roller tires out back.

I don't plan on doing this! It's just something I thought of, looking at my truck! Then I looked in my wallet!
