LOL
I tell them not to touch ANYTHING that I didn't ask for.

I hate letting anyone else work on my stuff.

Thank god the warranty is finally over!

Nothing got physically stolen. The first thing is that the serv. rep on the phone, asked me to sit down before she told me the price. I brought the truck in to have the AC diagnosed. It was rattling when the ac/defrost was on, and making the truck run rough at idle. But the AC still blew cold air.

They told me that the clutch fan (purely mechanical in function) was going bad and caused undue stress on the AC. They wanted to charge me $895 purchase price for a new compressor. And $300+/- for a new clutch fan. And +/- $400 labor. I did some asking around and most dealerships charge the cust. $500+/- for the AC comp.

So, on my own, I put efans, harness and a tune for under a grand, and what do you know, the AC works just fine. No rattle, just cold air.

They tried to hammer me on parts that I didn't need. ********. What pisses me off is that I am in the market for a new Tahoe for the wife, and a camaro when that comes out. I want GM to know about the shizty **** that the dealerships are pulling.

If GM did know about all of this garbage they would take care of it. I also work at a GM dealer, most of the people at mine are straight so we usually don't have issues, but there have been a few unhappy customers. If you bark loud enough someone is bound to hear you, just bark up the right tree. Some people give GM a bad name, I blame service writers

1-800-CHEV-USA is the cust service line.

And not all dealer employees are crooks, parts prices are rediculous. You should be a tech trying to sell some of those outrageous priced parts.

Yeah I also dislike dealerships. When my rearend blew out I took my truck to the dealership to see exactly what parts I needed and what was wrong w/ my truck and when I went to pick it up my truck would not start.

I asked the sales rep in the garage why my truck would not start and he said he did not know. He left for a min to go ask the tech why.. comes back w/ a b/s explanation that they had to disconnect some electric wire connecting inside the rearend. and that the cover to the rearend was off so that was the reason why my truck would not start. I called him out on it said to explain himself about this wire and he didnot know what to say. Either way it was not like I could drive my truck out the dealership all my gears were eat'n up!! So when the tow truck showed up had him jump start my truck and i called the dumb *** sales reb back and said so the reason for my truck not to start was b/c the rearend cover was off and b/c of some wire?? Right infront of everyone to was kinda funny. My battery was dead they drained it.

Sorry for the Hi-jack..!! Just complaine and dont stop~~!

05+ trucks are.

Dealer tried to charge me $50 to scan my computer with an OBDII scanner. I wanted to know what needed replaced/what the code was. I almost got in a brawl with those tools to get my keys back without paying the $50. Now I either use my brothers scanner or go to R-Tard Zone, were they ask you if your truck is 2wd or 4wd for an oil filter part #.

Not to be a jerk, but I missed the part where the held the gun to your head and forced you to buy the parts.

Yes dealerships can take advantage of people and thats wrong, but you still did have a choice.

Some of the other posters really have gotten shitty deals when they left their trucks there. Thats something I would complain about.

In this case, I would be just be glad that you were smart enough to know that it was robbery and not give them anymore of my business. I doubt GM will actually do anything about a thing like this, but it does feel good to get it off of your chest.
