Funny how they choose to run their site. Seems like the mods try to protect the resident trolls simply b/c they have a Dodge . Youve got to love the "stock for stock" ****. Who gives a ****?? So, stock for stock counts, but not dollar for dollar. We have to get this stuff straight you know. We dont want to seem uneducated. Im surprised no one brought up an SS or VHO. stock for stock I dont see a Hemi beating them. Or we could put up a modded chevy that costs near 20K less (parish's truck) than their SRT-10 and see if the SRT can at least maintain the chevy's tailights in view. Sounds like a bunch of dumbshits that refuse to let reality in regardless of how hard it pounds at the door.

 

why did you say 5.7 has terrible performance I use to have a 97 350 RCSB stepside and hauled ***. i never got beat by noone. i had one of the fastest trucks at the time.

I am talking about the pre 97 which is before they started puting the vortec heads on. Advertised the 5.7 vortec started out 255 hp rather than the 210 that the pre 97 had. Yes the vortec 5.7 would haul preatty good. But my friends 93 5.7 is not nearly as good as the vortec. And I have ridden in a RCSB 5.7 2wd vortec and it was a tire smokin machine.

 

i thought 96 was the year they started having decent 5.7L. in any case, i was over there one time just trying to get some info on what products were worth buying for a 5.2L so i could help my uncle out. i asked some questions and got some answers. when it came out i owned a chevy, i was flamed harshly. i offered up a friendly challenge to anyone who lived near me. i asked any and all to meet me at the track on a particular day and no one wanted to touch that. one person said they would like to but they had to work. so, when its time for the BS to stop and put up, they shut up! look at the guy Slowprocess asked to meet. he quickly said his truck was in the shop!

 

your wrong the 96 -up had vortec 255 hp 335 torqe. they were also badass. no way a 360 can beat a 96 350.

 

this is how slow dodges are . one time i saw 91 silverado 5.7 4x4 beat a new 4.7 dodge 2003 4x4 also. dodge is slow as hell.

 

Every site has people like that, just some more than others.

If you really want them to respect you over there, you have to respect them first. I've been a member over there for some time, and have butted heads with a couple of guys over there. A few of them are good guys and seem like decent people though.

That thread was to say the least the most pointless waste of bandwidth I've seen in a good while. Oh well .. I guess at least it occupied for the time being.

 

I had a '96 ecsb in highschool with a 305 vortech. 316 or 360 it didn't matter, the dodges of the time couldn't hang. They were slugs back then, but pretty much all trucks were until the vortech came out.

 

Now that you said 96 I think your right. What ever year that they started puting the vortec heads is when the performace of our truck line went up. I had just had my years off by 1 (my bad).

All this talk about idots, did anyone watch the Pacer Piston game last night.
That **** is nutz, After a intentional foul, a fan threw a cup off soda at (I think was Artest) he jump up ran and attacked a fan (I dont even think it was the one that threw the soda at him. Then another fan pulled Artest off this guy and another Pacer player jumped him. Then all hell broke lose between fans and the Pacer team. They need to take those guys out and beat the **** out of them. If I was getting paid millions of millions of dollars to play basketball , and if something like that happened, just ignore it, and have the police arrest the guy. Now he is suspended indefintaly. What a dumbass
