He may not have gotten the converter pushed all the way in @ the tranny. Sometimes it's a pita to get it on.

Well he got the converter in and everything seems to be fine. The computer is still relearning I guess. Lyndon programmed it for the stall. There seems to be a slight burning smell. Is this normal?? Similar to the smell when I first got headers. Just got off the phone with them, he said it is tranny fluid burning off the exhaust, sounds feasable to me. Thanks alot guys.

i had mine installed by a friend of a friend. he owned his own tranny shop. it took 2 days to do too. they ran into some problems. wires that were disconnected from the tranny were a bit messed up. it was their 1st time with an install on newer silverado. i guess mine was the ginnie pig

AAAAHHHHH!!!!! Help!!! I got an SES light now. It seems to me that the engine is idling low (around 600rpm) other than that it runs great. Now I have to go to Pops dealership to have it scanned. Lyndon said it could be pat of the relearn, but he has to know the code before he can give any advice. This **** is getting irritating, but its so much fun when things are running smooth. I think I may have to give the Performance stuff a break and get the exterior cleaned up a bit. Ram air hood, Roll pan, and the smooth vent caps are sounding nice and trouble free. Besides It will smoke a new SS ( just found out!!!) so its not a pig anymore. I think the end of the line will be UD pulleys, EL fans, and a wet shot. Then a nice tranny rebuild. Anyone know why my tranny has always squeeled at WOT 1-2 shifts ??? Its a little disconcerting.....

LOL! What "market" is he talking about? Go tell him to ask a used car manager which brand of truck holds it's value the best. Around here the bigger pre-owned dealers fight each other over late model GM trucks. One guy told me they hate taking Ford & Dodge trade-ins because they sit on the lot longer, nobody wants 'em.
