I'm thinking it's probably the steering shaft, my dad's 06 did the same thing. Definitely find a better stealership though.

sent you a PM... do yo have coils or torsion bars in the front? Had a problem similar to this...changed the shocks and the steering shaft and it didn't fix ****.

The steering shafts are a big problem on these trucks. You can unbolt the shaft under the hood and push the shaft in and out about a couple dozen times and then put it back together. Don't let the steering wheel roll though or you'll break the clockspring in the column. This will stop the steering shaft noise in most cases for a while. Also, there is a crossmember type bar under the oil pan held in with four bolts. You may have to take the bolts out and clean the undercoat off and put the bolts back in and make sure you get them real tight. I've heard of these causing a popping noise in a turn and going over a bumb. Good luck.

Is it a repetitive noise? If it is, then its most likely the steering shaft.

My truck has a single clunk or pop in the frame if I'm turning in a parking lot. Once when I turn right, once when I turn left. NEVER more than once per turn and mostly when I make very sharp turns. No one has been able to figure that one out though.

well.............. after finally gettin under the truck, i found the culprit !!!! the lower control arm is broken !!! where the shock goes mounted, idk how this happened, maybe a really hard hit and the shock bottomed out, or maybe it was just a bad arm, idk... hope warranty covers it.

Well that sucks, I wanna see a pic of that! There's something that you don't see every day...fairly new truck to go bustin' control arms Do you have the correct length shocks for the drop?
