It's going slow. Rounding up the parts and working on getting them cheap. I'll post up pictures and such when I get it wrapped up.

you should be able to do a complete system for well under 500 if going used. I'd buy the lines new, find someone on here who has a old powersteering pump with the returns and pressure fittings. Unit can be had off any old tahoe and your good to go.

Bidding on a new pump now. $60. Got the master and hydraulic unit for about 100. I am going new with the lines. I'll be at the mercy of my local GM dealer.

New question.... Looking at the current vacuum setup. There is a unit that sits on the front of the vacuum booster. Small cylinder with wiring. Maybe the vacuum assist pump? Obviously I won't need nor have a place to plug in this wiring. Will I throw codes or something?

should not throw codes as far as I know. Also, if you get in a bind give me the P/N and let me know I can pick them up and mail them to you at my cost. we have fleet accounts with GM FORD and Peterbilt/KW. We're about 20% lower then the "list" price.

Get back from my CA trip and most of the parts are here. Exception being the low pressure return hose. Suppose to be in tomorrow afternoon. I might try and put it on this weekend. I have to come up with the tool to install and remove the PS pulley.

I'll do pics and post up the install step by step. I'm also working on getting a big brake kit. Should really stop well when I get done

I read on another forum that you may need to notch/drill a little bit on the firewall. The pedal assembly is a little different on the hydroboost trucks, I don't know exactly what but I though it's a leverage ratio. I will be doing the same swap on mine shortly, should work good.

Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully it won't be an issue.

To top off the mod I just purchased these to go along with it.

What size wheels do you need to run with those?
