Default Hydroboost for an 86 chevy ......

Just curious where you guys are buying your hydroboost systems from and if there are any vendors on here that stock them

I have found these systems for 72 trucks but nothing higher then that

If anyone that has installed these can give me some pointers, i am trying to clean the engine bay up and modernize my old truck(should have just bought a new truck the way im going.)

i have stainless lines and plan on putting rear disc in at the same time just need to know where to buy the hydroboost.

truck is 86 c-10 2wd

hydroboost came on '73-'87 ( at least) trucks with 6.2L diesels, 305, 350 and 454-powered trucks

I had an '83 Blazer that had been a 6.2L in a previous life ( I bought it with no engine, the guy had a built 327 in it and yanked it when it sold), I ran it with the 350 I built and it worked awesome (except when mudding and it threw belts {no power steering, no brakes})

I'd say you'll probably want to find a pump from a '73-'87 truck (Part # 88990484, good luck finding one new, they're out there, but difficult to find), and a hydroboost brake booster (can't figure out the exact part number right now, may want to research it a little bit)

I think that covers it, I may be wrong though, its been a while since I've seen that setup

EDIT: I just saw that you have a 5.3 in your truck, so I'm probably wrong, but the general idea should be the same

Try these guys.
Paul is the owner and a great help with info on Hydroboost in general.

If you have fab skills....or access to someone who has..it's a pretty easy swap.
Get a complete unit from a junkyard...including hoses.
