Default Hydro-boost sleeve/guide for the brake pedal rod broke.

This happened during shipping to a person I sold the unit to. Attached is a picture. Will this effect the unit at all? I want to make it right for the buyer and want to make sure he's safe in the use of this thing still, so I figured I'd post up and ask the people since I have no actual experience with these things. In my mind and his own, we think it's ok, as the rod shouldn't really need that guide after it is installed as the rod just goes in and out straight. Post up your thoughts if they are factual and in good intent, please. Thanks.

As long as that part that holds the rod does not go inside the master area and tear up the cylinder were the seal rides it should be ok.

I haven't had one apart or looked at one close enough to know for sure.

I'd venture to say it would be ok. As long as the shaft doesn't bind up or anything like that, I'd run it.
