Default how much does 6.0 weigh?

im going to be getting my 6.0 in a couple of weeks and i am going to buy me an engine stand from sears since i got a bunch of gift cards for sears from xmas, i was looking at the craftsman engine stand, only 100 bucks and it says it can hold up to 750lbs, would this be plenty or should opt for the 135.00 dollar one that can hold like 1350lbs? thx fellas

the 750 will be more than suffiecent, i would say even if its cast iron block a complete motor probably wont even weigh 400lbs

A full assembled GEN III iron block(all of them will be within a couple of pounds) will weigh no more then 500#s. I would get one from Harbour Freight for 40 bucks and save your gift cards for nice tools and such, not necessary to pay so much more for the same thing.

Ill sell you my tranny jack adapter for a floor jack from HF for 30 bucks when I come down with the motor. If my truck was up and running I would let you borrow my engine hoist and leveler but well...
