Default How many of you guys have a Blazer/S10?

How many of you guys have a Blazer/S10 w/4.3? Are you interested in performance parts and info on these?

I know this is LS1TECH, but im trying to talk John and NineBall into adding a section for 4.3L Performance . It would fit right in with the old Camaro, Firebird, and LT1s.

True but then are we going to add the Colorado / Canyon section too? The 93-97 4th gen Camaro shares the same platform as the 98+ LS1 car which kind ties them together. The 4.3L real shares ver little with the 99+ breed of Full Size trucks. I happen to like the mini trucks too but it just seems to be changing the scope of the site...

Well what about just haveing a 4.3L performance section? That ties into fullsize trucks, since it is the base motor available.... Hate to say it tho Snake Eater, i dont think its gunna happen, i tried this about a year ago and doubt anythings changed....

For the record.... I have a 2002 Sonoma... 4.3 auto... Performance Mods include...
Hypertech (only thing better than that is a mach performance PCM flash) www.machperformance.com
Airaid Cold air
Gibson Cat Back
March Pullies
SLP 1.6 Rockers
Helix t-body spacer
descreened MAF

Like I said the scope of the site is to cover the GenIII LS-based motor. In my opinion the 4.3L doesnt share enough with the genology of the 4.8/5.3/6.0/8.1 but then again Duramax made its way into the performance section title so good luck.

Two of the newest sections, the old Camaros-2002 and old Firebirds-2002 made it on. They for the most part are only on for the title, not because they are LS1 based. The 8.1 and Duramax arent LS1 based. I started out here under a diff name with a diff truck in late 01', and since then this site has become more of a GM Performance site, rather than just LS1s. Im not going to beg the moderators to add a section for the 4.3, i just thought it would be a good addition to an already great site.
Kinda broadining our horizins.

Anyone who has a 4.3, let us know what you think.

I had a S-10 Blazer a few years ago I installed a 350 using Heddman headers and a Transdapt conversion kit,it was a blast to drive.I bet a S-10 Blazer would be a rocketship with a LS1 installed.

I hear ya ... and like I said ... the Duramax is NOT LS based and it still made its way into the Performance V8 section so it cant hurt to ask.
Regarding the 8.1L (L18) and its relationship to the LS GENIII motor, it is in fact a sister motor. While it doesnt share the same physical structure and other minor variations, it in fact was built using the same priciples which are inhierant to the GENIII power plant ... "repeated cylinder" design, cylinder head runner structure, coil on cylinder, composite manifold, block cap structure, modular accessory rack, etc. True not exactly the same breed but definately of the same concept.
