I bought a Duramax instead of an L.14's with a programmer,18mpg@80-85 mph and pulls a huge trailer like it's child play.

My original intent when I sold my Sonoma was to get an L. I looked and looked. Couldn't find a used one for anything less than $25k--this was in late 2000, and the 01's had just started coming out with more HP.

I would still love to own one, but even with all the appearance stuff, I'm probably into the mid $30k range, and my truck has already whooped up on a stock '04 L at Gainesville.

Overall, great trucks, just a little pricey.

Love the performance value and even throw out the value I love the performance period. SRT-10 ... cool car to own not so happy about the way it drives pulls handles etc. Silverado .. great bang for the buck.

That day the air was just about as good as it gets! I went back a couple weeks later with MUDZ53, and the best I could muster was a 14.68. I think it would have backed up the 14.5, but I had a full tank of gas as being the cheap skate I am I fill up on Thursday for the .6 cents off and we went to the track on Sunday with about 150 extra pounds of fuel!

Greentahoe......,

"one for two reasons 1. Insurance was going to be outrageous. 2. It's a ford. 3. I wanted to see the new production ones before they come out".
Isnt that 3 reasons?

lol
