Tranny (6L80) died at 279,000. Had a slight leak between t-case and trans I was going to address at 300K maintenance anyway! Belt tensioner whining at 280,000.

294,000! Getting a new (to me) truck next week. '16 Ram 2500 Crew 6.7. Stepping up in the world! Still be checking-in with my '03 Chebbie, but it won't be getting any high mileage awards. Garage queen and occasional tow pig.

At 213000 miles I have retired the old 05 1500hd for now from daily to casual garbage and yard truck. It needs a radiator and oil cooler lines on the engine again. I may have broken the front diff case when it launched off an approach in December into a couple big trees but I don't know.. it was leaking oil and not from any seal lol. It's all fixed other than the diff.. and well the rad started leaking after that too lol. When I get a moment I think I will just pull the old LQ4 out and give it a heads cam refresh.

This truck has lead a really hard life... its 213000 is more like most of you guys at 400000 miles lol. It has just short of 7000 hours on the clock too.

2005- 1500 crew cab z71 bought it with 203k thought the motor was going to need replacement.... just kept driving it .... the previous owners never changed the oil I believe

ive done t-case, front calipers, air bag sensors, ac tensioner

Damn. that's pretty dirty. I was going to say run a quart of trans fluid through it before the next oil change, but it may hurt more than it helps...

My 02 2500HD just rolled 240,000 miles. the drivetrain has been bullet proof. I replaced a carrier bearing on the driveshaft, 1 alternator, 1 water pump, 1 starter and 1 fuel pump. Hell, it's still on the OEM shocks LOL. I do have a box of goodies that need to be installed. shocks, tie rod ends, sway bar end links, and brakes just as routine maintenance. I recently picked up a tvs1900 for it.

UPDATE: This truck had been handed down to a road service tech. Added a Tommy Lift and a 2nd battery. Life goes on. I'll update as mileage increases.

One problem if forgot about, broken exhaust manifold bolt, rearmost drivers side. Had to take the head off to extract what was left of the bolt (@280K miles).

dorman makes a bracket that resolves the driver rear bolt for 20$. No need to remove the head anymore. I extracted that bolt twice on my truck. 3rd time i slapped a dorman kit on there and forgot about it. Luckily i was able to get the bolt out without pulling the head.
